TV Variety Shows – Vol. 1

Extremely rare variety television programs from the 1950s and early 1960s. Only a few of these shows survived on film. There is a lot of great entertainment in these shows. Great stars, many of them just getting their start in show business, show up in short skits or cameo appearances. Sid Caesar pioneered the television variety show format with Your Show of Shows (1950-54) and Caesar’s Hour (1954-57). Variety shows began to fade from popularity in the early 1970s, when research began to show that variety shows appealed to an older audience that was less appealing to advertisers. This is our first release of extremely rare classic TV shows. If you are a fan of old TV shows, especially rare, out-of-print films… you will love these shows. 8 full-length shows, uncut with the original commercials. All of these rare TV classics are from the 1950s and early 60s. Only a few of these variety shows survived on film. 6 DVD Set.
