Hildy Johnson is a newspaper reporter, engaged to be married and headed for New York for a better paying position. The court pressroom is waiting to cover the hanging of convicted murderer, Earl Williams. When Williams escapes Hildy seizes the opportunity by using his $260 honeymoon money to payoff an insider and get the scoop on the escape. It looks like Hildy has the scoop locked up when he finds the confused escapee and hides in in a roll-top desk. 1931  – BW – 101 Minutes
